Hægt að sækja um að halda Norðurlandamótin í skák 2015

Opnað hefur verið fyrir það að hægt sé að bjóða í Norðurlandamótin í skák. Um er að ræða Norðurlandamótið í skák (Elite), NM kvenna og NM öldunga.

Taflfélög og/eða einkaaðilar geta boðist til að halda viðkomandi mót auk Skáksambandanna. Nánari upplýsingar má finna í neðangreindum texta sem og í viðhengi (PDF).

NORDIC CHESS FEDERATION
INVITATION TO BIDS FOR THE NORDIC CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015 (OPEN/ELITE, WOMEN AND SENIORS)

The Board of the Nordic Chess Federation has decided to invite bids for the three tournaments for the Nordic Championships in 2015. Organizers are invited to forward their bids for one or more of these three tournaments not later than September 15, 2014. The bids shall be sent to the secretary of the Nordic Chess Federation, Johan Sigeman, under the following address:

The bid shall contain the following information:

• The tournament or tournaments covered by the bid (a) the open/elite, b) the women and/or c) the senior tournament).
• Name of the organizer with address and contact-info, including mail address
• Dates for the tournament
• Venue (city and playing hall)
• Tournament type (Swiss or round robin)
• Prize-money
• Financial conditions for the participants (if any)
• Hotel-facilities including prices
• If live-broadcasting of games will take place
• Other information of importance

Participation from the federations

The Nordic Chess Federation strongly encourages all Nordic federations to send their best players to participate in the three tournaments in 2015.

The competition rules etc.

New rules for the competitions were adopted in 2005 and may be downloaded from the home page (under Regler og Reguleringer): (http://www.sjakk.no/nordisk/).

Please note that both the Nordic Women´s committee and the Nordic Senior committee have expressed that the tournaments for these categories should be held as separate competitions (and not as an integrated part of another event). This should be regarded as a strong recommendation but is not a strict requirement.
The Nordic Chess Federation would very much like to see a chess festival in 2015 with many participants. The Board therefore welcomes bids that include two or three of the tournaments to be held at the same time and at the same place.

Financial contribution

The Nordic Chess Federation will provide the organizer of the open/elite tournament with a sum of DKK 15.000 to be used for prize money.

Possible zonal tournament

The Nordic Chess Federation is presently trying to reinstate the zonal tournament as a step in the qualification for the World Cup (most likely to be held in September 2015). If this succeeds, the Nordic Championship (the open/elite tournament) will be selected to be the zonal tournament and there will be 1-2 qualification spots in the Nordic Championship 2015. The decision on this issue will be made in August 2014.
